East Somerville Foodie Crawl ticket winner is . . .

OCTOPUS
Octopus dish at Sarma

Congratulations to Shannon G., who won two tickets to the upcoming East Somerville Foodie Crawl!

Shannon is a Boston based blogger and writes Tri To Cook, a reflection of her love of triathlons and cooking. Shannon chose Sarma as her restaurant of choice, which I fully agree is a great place to visit! My full write up about Sarma is here if you want to see more mouthwatering photos.

The East Somerville Foodie Crawl will be held on Tuesday, September 16th, featuring cuisine from many places around the world, like Haiti, Ethiopia, and El Salvador. You can buy tickets here ($20 regular; $15 for students) if you want to go.

Congrats Shannon!

Yummy! I highly recommend the nutritional yeast. It is also called Brewer’s Yeast and you can find it in most any natural foods or co-op market. It tastes great on popcorn, beans and rice, and in mac-n-cheese. It is loaded with B-vitamins, so is an excellent source of energy. I keep some around in a shaker all the time. 🙂

Did you know you now have a number of pop-up ads coming in over your blog? It’s not very nice of them to cover up the bottom of the screen or even the center.

Thanks! I do plan on trying to make the original kale chip recipe with nutritional yeast. That’s cool you can sprinkle it on virtually anything to add flavor and vitamins. 🙂

    Hi Channon,
Thanks for letting me know. I think it’s BlogHer’s new format of ads that they are experimenting with. I think you can click away the box by clicking on the little “x” in the upper right hand corner. I’m always looking around for better ad options, so if I find a better one maybe I can get rid of those boxes!

It is a life saver when you don’t much meat. I know you don’t either.

If I don’t have convection – what would you suggest for baking time and temp?

I could not resist a bought Saucey Sauce’s gift box with one of each of their sauces. Will make your kale chip recipe with the garlic sauce soon. 🙂
