    Giando Hong Kong

    Giando Hong Kong

Giando is an elegant, warm, and relaxed Italian restaurant tucked in the Star Street Precinct neighborhood of Wan Chai. Chef Gianni Caprioli serves modern Italian food, sourcing ingredients from artisan producers and small family farms in Italy.

Prior to opening up his restaurants in Hong Kong, Chef Gianni worked as a private chef for the Agnelli family, one of the richest families in Italy and owner of FIAT.

    Dinner at Giando

We have enjoyed dinner at Giando twice now, and both times have been excellent. This place can be a bit difficult to book at the last minute during peak times. However, if you come early (like we did), it wasn't a problem at all.

Giando Hong Kong - General Thoughts

The first time I ate at Giando Hong Kong I distinctly remembered really enjoying the bread, which included a variety of different homemade breads, crackers, flatbreads, and breadsticks. The second time I came, they had a more simplified the bread offering (which made me a bit sad_.

Still, the food overall is very good and executed at a very high level. The homemade pastas are excellent and meats are great as well. The space is really pleasant and I always feel relaxed when I go.

All in all, we're really excited to have so many very good Italian restaurants within a 10 minute walk of our apartment.
