    Namsan Seoul Tower

Published: Nov 12, 2025 by Jennifer Che

    Namsan Seoul Tower Korea

Namsan Seoul Tower has become quite famous due to the fact that it's often seen in K-Dramas. Like sky-high viewing points in a lot of cities, it is inevitably quite touristy, though the views are pretty good.

It can be romantic to see all of Seoul below you, especially on a clear night.

But the food options are a bit wanting . . . we ended up just getting some burgers, simple nachos and beer.

Perhaps it's because we didn't do a bunch of research and book a restaurant beforehand. Also, we went on a holiday weekend where the lines were INSANE. We waited over an hour in line just to ride the cable car up. We had (naively) thought we could just show up a little before sunset so that we could watch the sunset either on the cable car or at the top.

Ha! Fat chance. The sun was long gone by the time we snaked through all the lines to get onto the cable car.

Thankfully, the views were quite nice, and it's kind of cool up there.

Still, if you have limited time in Seoul, hate lines, and don't really like the tourist-y vibe, you can probably skip this one!
