This is the tenth (!) post in the Around the World Birthday Extravaganza Series (and we have only visited one country! -- this will be a long series!). Please scroll to the bottom to see all the other posts in this series.
Good-by Alba.
It was a whirlwind three days and we loved every moment of it. The Piedmont region is stunningly beautiful, has incredible food and wine, and really, really nice people. It's the type of place you dream about long after you've left.
On our last afternoon in Italy, our tour guide Robert from Travel Langhe took us around to scenic spots to take photos. We visited common tourist spots, like to La Morra, the tallest spot around where you can get panoramic vistas of the entire wine region. However, he also took us to lesser known, hidden spots which were just as beautiful. We photographed our hearts out as we enjoyed the sunset over the Piedmont region that last afternoon.
There are really no words to describe how beautiful the region is. Accordingly, the rest of this post is silent. Please enjoy the photos, and I hope this inspires you to visit the region someday!
