The restaurant industry in Hong Kong moves so fast. The ultra competitive nature for the food (there is A LOT of really, really good food here), the quick changing interests of Hong Kongers, and the expensive rent means that restaurants come and go at an alarming rate.
We enjoyed a phenomenal meal at Gough's on Gough last year. The place had a really unique, classy retro design, fantastic food, and warm and friendly service.
I was so, so sad when I found out they were closing at the end of 2019. The unrest in Hong Kong has been tough on businesses, to the point that even really, really good restaurants are closing.
I still wanted to post these beautiful photos as a tribute to Gough's on Gough.

The former Executive Chef of this restaurant, Arron Rhodes, has now opened Kinship in Central. I haven't had a chance to go there, but my excellent experience at Gough's on Gough makes me want to check it out!
