Greetings from Norway!
So sorry for the lack of posts this past week! Bryan and I have been traveling through Copenhagen and the stunning fjords of Norway on a cruise with Bryan's parents. Northern Europe is an area of the world that I have never visited, and it has been a fascinating experience. Copenhagen is a lovely, lovely city, with gorgeous buildings, rich history and culture, super friendly people, and incredible food. Even though we only had a couple of days here, I fell in love with it immediately.

The western border of Norway is lined with stunning fjords and small towns. Our ship has docked at five different locations so far, and we have been enjoying all sorts of different activities, such as hiking up to scenic viewpoints, sampling local seafood at fish markets, and strolling around quaint seaside villages.
The weather in Norway is quite cool. Even though it's mid-August, most days feel more like spring to me. I've been using my rain jacket A LOT here (Norwegians basically always carry around proper gear because it can rain at any time). The rain results in beautiful green landscapes and stunning waterfalls.
Gorgeous view from Pulpit Rock in Norway - had to hike 2 hours to get here! #hiking

We return to Boston in a couple days. I have never taken a cruise in my entire life, and it has been an interesting experience. I can definitely seen the benefits of it, though there are also some negatives. Perhaps I'll write up my full thoughts about cruising in some later post.
For now, feel free to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter to get live updates of my travels. Because the Internet has been a bit spotty while we've been out at sea, I haven't been able to post as much as I typically would like. In any event, we'll get back to all the regular posts (including continuation of all the currently ongoing series) very, very soon!
I leave you with a view from my favorite fjord, Geiranger Fjord, in Norway.
