Usually if Bryan is out of town on business, I'll eat much more simply by myself. I typically don't enjoy eating out alone, so if he's gone, my default meal is a really simple home-cooked meal, usually consisting of stir fried greens (whatever looks interesting from the wet market), eggs, and possibly a third item.
However, once in awhile I'll venture out solo. Even then, I tend to opt for healthier fare. One place close to my home I sometimes like to visit is Ovo Cafe, a vegetarian cafe near the Wan Chai market located on the 1st floor of a residential building called One Wan Chai.
Ovo Cafe does a limited set lunch menu during the busy lunch hour. I actually prefer to come outside of that time window, since the menu is very limited during peak lunch hour. They won't let you order from the regular menu. You can only order from the set lunches, which I find to be a bit more carb-heavy than what I prefer.
Instead, come during the afternoon or for an early solo dinner. During those times you can enjoy a larger variety of salads, sandwiches, and other dishes. Overall, the food is pleasant and healthy, and the ambiance is really relaxing. The cafe is surrounded by various beautiful potted plants (of all different sizes). For me, Ovo Cafe is a great weeknight choice because it's conveniently close and fast yet provides a relaxing and chill (uncrowded) space for me to hang out as long as I want.
