S. Pellegrino Welcome Reception

March 11, 2010 by Jennifer Che 3 Comments

S. Pellegrino sure knows how to welcome their VIP guests! The first night after we arrived, we enjoyed a wonderful reception featuring dishes created by local restaurants and vendors. It was also the first time that they introduced to us all of the chefs.

The chefs stood on these little platforms in front of huge signs with their pictures on them.  As the announcer went around introducing them, a light from underneath would shine right into their faces.  It was kind of funny.

They were nice enough to let everyone snap photos of them.  I introduced myself to Peter Clark, the guy representing New England, my region!

A few people spoke, including our host Katie Lee, who introduced the judges.

There’s really not too much else to say except to say that the food was all fantastic. Fresh seafood, hors d’oeuvres created by local restaurants, risotto, bruschetta, home-cured meats, high quality cheese, local wines, and on and on and on.  Bryan and I had tons of fun going around and just tasting everything (and snapping pictures too, of course!)

But really, words do no justice.  Here are some pictures!

I love receptions of this sort. And in Napa, you really get the best of the best! Hope you sipped on some of that Domaine Chandon sparkling wine!
